Project Managers without Borders
Role’s Purpose:
- To pioneer the establishment of a new PMWB community, one of several around the world.
Role Includes:
- Participating in training on PMWB’s approach, tools, community, recruiting practices, leadership tenets, volunteer management, and methods to find and foster client relationships.
- Determining the focus of a new PMWB community, based on one of the UN’s SDGs, (Strategic Development Goals: https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/sdgs)
- Building a team to support the goals of the community
- Leading the team to identify and support 2-3 projects per year
- Identifying needed areas of training for community
- Coordinating support from/for and collaboration with other PMWB communities
- Identifying potential NGOs to target as clients
- Promoting community’s activities to prospective clients
- Maintaining relationships and support for clients
- Developing a regional and scope-focused plan for expansion
Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years of experience as an influencer
- Enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the world
- Experience working with project management, NGOs, or a volunteer organization preferable
- Self-starter and a good communicator
- Able to work in a virtual team
- English at a working level
Location: Anywhere in the World
Hours per week: Approximately 3 to 5
